The police in the US kill around a thousand people every year, it's like a bit over a thousand. Over 2 million people incarcerated in the US, which is more many fold higher than most other rich countries. So I'm curious to try to put some numbers on this so the audience can understand the scale of these different problems. One thing I wonder is if the killing of people is kind of a tip of the iceberg of problems with US policing.
