Is There a National Security Exception to General Free Trade Principles?
No, definitely not. And in fact, look, you know, the kind of o g free traders, adam smith, a, milton freedmn, and others, acknowledge that there is't an exception for kind of general free trade and freemarket principles when it comes to national security. Like you said, if in times of war or other a national emergency, there may be a need for a the industrial capacity - but we should be very sceptical of the application of these exceptions.
