The Limitations of a Study on ARVC
The vast majority of these patients had variants in plaqueafilin II. This is a right ventricular disease. The issue of not including patients with southern cardiac death is where the diagnosis made at postmortem is an important one. But actually in terms of identifying the yield of family screening, that's perhaps slightly less relevant because we're talking here about primarily individuals who are referred for family screening.
