When someone talks about an amygdala hijack, it's more accurate to say it's a physiological form of hijacking. Your experience of what's happening in your body isn't in your body. It's in your brain. That is your brain has knowledge, memories of past experiences. So for example, I got used in how motions are made, like that old parable,. Like when a tree falls in the forest and no one's there to hear it, does it make a sound? Well, the answer to that is no. Sounds are not in the world.
