The Story of Jack Carter

In the early 1970s, Fred Carter was 33 years old and had just dropped out of art school. He would become the first and only black man among the staff of 19 at chick publications. Though Jack always wrote the comics himself, he was impressed with the obvious brilliance of Fred's work. They teamed up to create what was likely Fred's very first tract, 1972's The Last Generation.
