The Connecticut Green Bank: The Nation's First Green Bank

The Connecticut Green Bank was the nation's first Green Bank. The basic idea behind a Green Bank is that we take in limited public funding and use that to attract private capital to the green economy. We look for areas where people are not installing the new technology, like batteries or rooftop solar. For every public dollar that we invest, we're attracting $7 of private capital into the market.
