Is the World in Assimulation?

Nick bostrum's paper changed the way that the public looked at simulation arguments, cause his paper really isn't an argument at all. The hope being that by the end of it we'll understand that us living in assimulation is actually a real possibility. Maybe the key to understanding as much as we can about this place that we live in lies in understanding that it may have been created artificially for some purpos or maybe for no purpose.
