i had two editors by the time my book a was published, simply ause a. The actual editing itself was kind of on the light side, you know, it was like, this is what you're doing, ok? And you know what you'redoing. There were occasional requests to cut back on certain excesses that are natural to my voice. i did say, though, authors don't always do this. I mean, every now and then an author says, oh, i want the same copy edor i worked with before - which we tried to accommodate.
