Apple says it can power down more of the entire computer when we're not using it, including some parts of the chip. We take their claims a little more seriously because apple collects a lot of telementry data from eephone users. So they kind of have this like, machine learning model of what eiphone users are doing,. They can apply it to their battery specks and their power consumption - but in real life, there's a sea that it matches up slightly.
