The Women Who Didn't Do Well in a Married Relationship Had a Strong Sense of Agency
The women who were the happiest in a married relationship had a very strong sense of agency, psychologically and sexually. They didn't think of staying chaste as something they were going to do for their future husband. Women that did it more from an external moral reference point, the bishop would be upset, god would be upset,. You know, my future husband will be upset. The people who didn't do well didn't do these things out of a place of shame, fear, anxiety.
