The Forest for the Trees Problem

Bor has intuited, and what he clearly articulated through this wonderful short story, is that that fantasy we all sometimes have, if only i can have a perfect photographic memory. That super hero, in fact, illustrated through this argentinian cowboy, is a curpurse. It is not something we should be wishing for. We don't get obsessed over details. And it turns out that facial recognition requires us to extract a gist, to see the forest, in this case, the face, not from the trees.
