How Artery Line Transduction and Waveform Interpretation Works
Using ultrasound can be an invaluable aid, especially for the difficult lines. Even in a patient who you don't necessarily predict there to be difficulty, people often turn to ultrasound to save the day. The system requires an appropriate natural frequency and dampening to avoid interactions of pressure waves that can inappropriately amplify or depress the true pressure measurement.
