Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections Are Similar to Colonitis

Catheter-associated urinary tract infections are very similar to colonitis in that there's an obstruction and there's pus under pressure. And it's amazing how when you unclog the catheter and fix the problem, how quickly things get better. So this is a narrative that I think you'll see if you take care of these patients where their catheter gets obstructed. They have significant buildup of complications. And the complications vanish as quickly as they started when you fixed underlying problem.
