Homeopathy is an area of medicine where actually believing something makes it better. It's the belief that something has happened to you that actually does cure you. Is it right to attack people's beliefs in this way? If you think homeopathy is okay, then should you not be allowed to do it without ridicule? And shouldn't we encourage people to believe things that are untrue in their own interests? We need to work out what the placebo effect really is.
