It makes perfect sense to me that most of these stories are so short, and that he wrote it over such a long period of time. He was bouncing around and like filling in gaps throughout the entire span of him doing this. I've like circling back and going like, no, i want to add one little more thing about the wives. And now i want to jump forward to the living war machines. We didn't even talk about how, technically this is a future history, cause it's a collection of stories found on beam tapes by people that have turned into beams of energy from crystals on the north pole. Like, we just skipped that because there's so many ideas in the book
