The Importance of Accountability at the Fed
There's just no accountability at the Fed. I'm like, has anybody heard of a credit default swap? Anybody noticed that Merrill Lynch appears to be blowing up? But even too many of my counterparts at the New York Fed who were not well enough aware of some of the warning signs that the markets were signaling. And that was very, very disheartening and alarming.
