Is He the Lord of Your Thorn?

In Corinthians 12, Paul says he was given a thorn. He asks the lord to take it away and is told by god that his power is made perfect in weakness. The devil doesn't get ultimate authority over what you do or don't do but how you tell yourself about your thorns.
