In the past, it had been like political parties are these corruption generating machines, right? Yes. And so I have this, one of the things I emphasize is that, you know, parties can be really good But people, but that is contingent on parties facing competition. In many ways, I think parties are perhaps the single most important institution for building a democracy for busy people because they make an electoral choice clear and meaningful.
