Is There Something Where Three Things Have to Have Sex to Have Something?
There are organisms that work kind of like what you were describing Hank. There is at least anemotone and an algae that have three biological sexes. It's almost like this is a vibe, but it's to evolve sex in the first place. And so as long as you're getting the variety, you don't need to evolve any new complexity. I'm not sure having three sexes would speed up evolution.
