The Different Types of RTGs for Different Missions
There are different, different isotopes of different elements with different properties. Some put out the heat faster, but they have a shorter half life than others. And it could very well be that you can mix and match your different stages of isotope engines to get you a new kind of missions. I like this idea of having different RTGs for different parts of the mission.
