The Animal Model of Addiction
Some animals will actually get addicted to the running wheel. They will run on that runninge so much that their little tails will curve in the shape of the running wheel and permanently stay there. The smaller the running wheel, the more their tails are curved. And i think the analogy there is that we have even druggfied things like exercise our digital watches and our social media leader boards and our rankings. Even something healthy and adaptive like exercise has become, in some sense, a drug and a potential source of addiction.
