The Crusade to Free Richard
Henry VI of Germany demands 100,000 marks for the release of his son Richard. He also wants 50 ships and 200 knights on loan so he can conquer Sicily. By Christmas Henry has agreed to free Richard formally in the new year. But there are two people who aren't so keen on seeing Richard become a free man again. French King Philip Augustus and Richard's brother John offered to outbid whatever ransom was raised if they would get their king back.
