Is Electric Car Charging a Critical Edge?

Electric cars can often go for days on end without charging. People are happy to charge their car at 4pm or 4am, as long as it's got enough electricity for what they want to do the next day. The ability to shift electric cars charging hour to hour enables us to make dramatically better use that spare capacity. And if we're doing that, it actually brings the cost of the system down for everyone because we've got more electrons traveling over the same amount of copper.
