Pastors Need to Hold Their Ministry Twice

Pastors need to hold their ministry tightly. But they must hold that same ministry loosely, because ultimately, it's not the church or their ministry. It belongs to god. While the elders were deciding john's future, he modelled that faith. He was prepared to let go of his position at grace church, to trust it to god and respond with gratitude, not bitterness. Thereis no way he, or any shepherd, endures without that kind of confidence. Here again is john describing what happened when he was summoned back into the elders meeting.
