The Ediacaran Mass Extinction

This extinction would be before any of the previous mass extinctions that we've recognized. What did these animals with high surface area volume ratios look like? We can't say whether or not this is a true mass extinction. But what we know is that the level of extinction that we see is consistent with mass extinction.
