I think I was just trying to inhabit the stunned sense that somebody like Lucy would feel at such a time in her life. Alongside that, she has this fear in the book that her mind is going, that she's getting dementia or something. So everything that happened, I would really try and concentrate at some point on what does this feel like through Lucy's eyes or through Lucy's heart.
