"It seems like everybody was saying, okay, this is the last pause. And because the like COVID emergency is over, he doesn't have authority to pause again," she said. "If you think about what Trump did, did he have the authority to extend the pause? I don't know." She added that it's just a reality of politics on student loans: If somebody challenges it, it's not legal if they rule against it but if they don't, then it's legal.
