How to Teach Lists in Haskell

Lists are still sort of the dominant data structure in Haskell. Are you teaching anything in that direction or is it thanks for all? I don't have the luxury really of, I could teach all sorts of fancy tree data structures and so on but you started out with doing your DFL on trees. Yeah, it would be very tempting to go down there. But this is only 16 hours of lectures so it has to be quite fast.
