The Rise and Fall of the Yeshuv

Nibelin: The great man seems able, almost alone and single-handed, to transform one form of life into another, which is quite cheap. He says there's about 40,000 Jews emigrate to Palestine, to build a small community that's known as the Yeshuv. In 1909, they found the first kabuts, collective farm, and then what becomes, but very much is not in 1909, the city of Tel Aviv. Nibelin: None of the pragmatic arguments for Zionism had any impact on him at all; he was just like, no, this is just the right thing to do.
