The Lord Visited Sarah as He Had Said and the Lord Did for Sarah as He Had Promised
Moses takes for granted his audience is going to pick up on the significant words that he's using and these significant statements. Moses presents Sarah saying in verse six, or I'm sorry, verse seven, who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? And then with the juxtaposition of that, with the story of Hagar and Ishmael being dismissed, there's a subtle kind of suggestion that Abraham and Sarah would have been better off had they trusted the promise.
