i like that idea a lot because it's a theory that covers the most difficult part of this which is how did all of them disappear. dubbed themselves the heirs of valyria they're like we are the top guys now so you're totally right they would feel like it's theirs. Theory goes that purchasing that the purchase of bright roar directly led to something that led to the doom of Valyria and then these Lannisters died going there to where the doom happened.
