This chapter discusses the regulatory response to the banking crises at Credit Suisse and Silicon Valley Bank. The actions taken by regulators in the UK were not as significant as those in Switzerland, with the quick sale of Silicon Valley Bank to HSBC being facilitated by the Bank of England. The UK arm of SPP seemed to be well capitalized and was able to absorb the interest rate risk issues that affected the US parent.
