Interlingua

Interlingua is an interesting example of creating a language for a particular goal, right? Yes. The interlingua people are not really trying to create an IEL in the same sense that the Esperantists or even the lingua franca Nova people are. This is very much about producing certain kinds of reference works they want to be available to as many people as possible by virtue of them knowing or being familiar with languages of a certain cost. It's just from the standpoint of most of us here who are artistic con-langers, it's kind of boring.
