In today’s episode we have the pleasure to interview Harry Psaros author of “From Struggle to Strength: A Father's Journey with Autism and the Power of Hope and Positivity”
Harry is a family man first who has been married for 24 years and has 2 amazing sons Max and Gus who was diagnosed with Autism in 2014. Harry also holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as minors in physics and philosophy. He has also obtained a certification as a health coach from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. Professionally, Harry serves as an Executive Neuroscience Account Specialist for AbbVie. He is also known by fans as “Pitt Guru,” and is a top social media influencer for University of Pittsburgh athletics and the senior writer for Pittsburgh Sports Now.Harry is also on the Board of Directors for the Autism Caring Center, President of North Fayette Township’s Parks and Recreation Board, Vice President of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton, WV and one of the founders of North Fayette P.A.L.S. (an organization for special needs children). Harry is an avid reader, enjoys strength training, running, martial arts and lives to serve others. Needless to say, Harry keeps busy and enjoys creating a life well lived.
Harry wrote this book to help bring awareness to dad’s and parents everywhere who may not be ready to accept that their child is on the spectrum. He wants parents everywhere to learn from his mistakes and help you navigate the challenging road of raising a child on the spectrum.
