How to Define a Monthly Active User

The most important metrics for us are like our seven day retention, our month over month, now and down growth. We're kind of aiming to do 30% month over month growth for the next year or so. A big question besides just growth, how do you define a monthly active user? So is that a login? Is that more engagement than just a login? Good question. I have absolutely no idea.
