In the United States most companies are are incorporated is what's called the C corporation. Most of them have a single thing that they are after which is maximizing shareholder value. We formed as a separate type of company it's called a social purpose company. The values we'd like to see in society these come before anything else in the company so they come before maximizing profit or maximizing shareholder value, he says.
