Nuclear Weapons Proliferation
I worry about nuclear weapons proliferation to me that's the most dangerous aspect of nuclear power. Once you have enrichment technology you can easily produce weapons grade uranium which is exactly what's happening right now in Iran. A coal burning power plant produces 400,000 tons of air pollutants per year nuclear it's only about 6,000 tons and they're quite benign compared to what a coal plant produces. And then what about radiation well the nuclear plant produces more radiation than most coal plants but the coal does contain radioactive materials uranium and it's byproduct. The comparison isn't really that good and we have to be careful with it but even coal produces some radiation. Surprisingly the next one down on this list in
