The idea that god can intervene with supernatural means is something we've to understand in order to be able to understand these types of events. The way in which we interact with one another, be it romantic or friendship, or anything else for that matter, really matters because you will be facing at some point your death. It doesn't make sense if you conceive of genir primarily as a love story. But if you you conceive of it as a spiritual autobiography, there is this sense that life doesn't last that long and your really matter a long term.
