Don't Give Back, Is That What Is Threatening the Economy?

Gift economies are based on a principle called the no free gift principle. This means that if you've been given something, you feel an obligation to give it back. One example of this is when people buy rounds of beer at the pub and then they share them with others who have also bought one or more as gifts. But there's another type where we don't even keep track of how much each person has received in exchange for their time - which can be just as bad.
