The Power of Desire

When we desire something, it starts to change our lens on reality. Our desires are set into motion by certain cues. We're deeply invested in somehow wanting this thing to achieve consciousness and maybe seeing consciousness where it's not there. Even the AI dystopian movies are fantasies, that is to say things we fantasize about and with. A sort of distance is needed for us to experience AI as alive and must be like us, but not like us.
