The son of an academic and a formasist, he grew up in New York City. He says his parents were focused on making it after they moved from israel to the U.S. His father worked as an erologist while his mother was a formasists. After high school "i became a really good student because i was able to choose the topics i wanted to study" The author now works for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
