When you look at the U.S., it looks like the United States is completely dysfunctional, he says. Gridlock and partisanship have made it very difficult to resolve basic economic problems. But China has had rack-a-bit economic growth overseen by leaders who were "wise and foresighted" I'm not saying this necessarily shows that Communist Party rule is better than democracy, but it's hard to be optimistic about the future of theUnited States when you look at how malfunctioning our political system is.
