The Importance of Trust in Public Health
I think what you saw during the pandemic was a violation of that trust from the very top people, right? So you had people like Tony Fauci... I'm sorry to pick on him over and over, but he's perfect. And then once you've lost that, it's gone. American public health has lost the trust of a vast chunk of the American public. It is going to be almost impossible for it to do its work in coming years. But maybe there's some silver lining in that, but there's a lot of complicated things to talk about.
