In the examples you mentioned, I was imagining that if someone is collaborating with other people, but wants to take advantage of them perhaps in that case, they would score very low on agreeableness. In the reverse case, maybe a person who should feel angry could not because they don't like to go against others. As far as I'm aware, there's no study that has looked directly into personality traits, but I agree that they moderate, that they could moderate,. The effects that have been observed and proposed relationships seem reasonable to me.
