When did you to recognize that your gender didn't feel right? And there weren't really words for it in the same way then that there are now. So i've always felt like i'd been on the outside of a lot of the, you know, sort of whether it be a bi mary gay or lesbian, or male or female,. It was just like i was not one or the other. I'm kind of curious, how did that feel inside, or how did you even think about it inside? Maybe before you had the words to know what it was right exactly.
La Sarmiento has been practicing Vipassana meditation since 1998. They are the guiding teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington’s BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ Sanghas, a mentor for the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program and Cloud Sangha, a contributor to the Ten Percent Happier app, and a graduate of Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leader Training Program.
