The Last Supper and Passover

The last supper and Jesus' death and resurrection, Jesus' time is brilliant. He timed that it would all take place at Passover. In Jewish traditional culture, when the sun goes down, that's when the next day begins. And so almost certainly what's happening here is that Jesus is celebrating it on what we would call Thursday night but after sundown,. technically when the day of Passover has begun.
