Peter Gibbs, Weather Forecast?

Fitzroy came up with the idea and phrase, weather forecast. He wanted to replicate success that they'd had in America over in Britain. The first electrical telegraph allowed for an instant snapshot of what the weather was doing at any one moment. It's interesting if you look back to Fitzroy's background as a naval officer - front of ship is called Fauxhall or Forecastle.
