The Importance of Scale in AGI Systems

We don't have a good intuition about how something will work with such a huge training data set, but we're gaining that intuition now by playing with the systems. I think these systems are a big breakthrough in the sense that they can probably automate away 80% or more of jobs that people now do. So even though they're not human-like in many respects, they're interesting and they're smart in some ways,. so why not use them as a component of AGI systems? They're missing some key things that you need to be a really human-like AGI.
