A Status Dissatisfaction Leads to Status Immobility
Status considerations can lead to aggressive behavior or to a rejection of the world order. A status dissatisfaction leads to status seeking behavior. Status immobility is when you've been trying to do that and you're getting signals that it won't work. So this depends on the context, but can involve, sort of, right during the late nineteenth century, early twentieth century, building an empire in Japan.
