Can a Test Hurt?
There's very little in our current system that disincentivises someone from ordering an extra test. Part of it is also that doctors don't face the cost of the test. Of course, some tests are needed and helphful, and i fully support those tests. But it's important to look at beore ordering the test. What is the information you are going to get from this test? And if you can't come up with a good answer, or if you could have made the same decision without the test, then i would consider not ordering thetest.
